Ableton Live 8.4 in beta, featuring native 64-bit support

Ableton Live 8Ableton announced the beta version of Live 8.4, its music production software, featuring native 64-bit support. With 64-bit support, sets in Live 8 can now accommodate much larger memory usage, and third-party plug-ins that support 64-bit computing. Registered Live 8, Suite 8, Live Intro or Live Lite 8 users can download the beta now. The 64-bit version of Live works with PCs running Windows Vista/7/8 (64-bit) and with Intel-Macs running OS X 10.5 and up. The 64-bit version of Live 8 does not support Max for Live, video, or The Bridge. Ableton are currently working with their partners to add support for these features. The release version of Live 8.4 will be available later, as a free update for registered Live 8, Suite 8, Live Intro or Live Lite 8 users. [source]

E-on software Vue 9 screenshotE-on software announced the availability of Vue 11.5 xStream and Infinite, the latest production-driven version of its professional solutions for the creation, animation and rendering of natural 3D environments. Specifically designed for graphics professionals, Vue xStream and Vue Infinite combine a multitude of cutting edge features that easily integrate into existing production pipelines. Vue Infinite operates as a standalone application while Vue xStream works seamlessly inside 3ds Max, Maya, Softimage, LightWave and CINEMA 4D. Release 11.5 of Vue adds a number of new features including: EcoCollision, making EcoParticles collide with EcoSystem instances; Render Stack improvements merging render areas, reloading camera settings or setting stacks per scene; improved material management; a new Color Channel Editor available from the Post Render Options; and more.
