Adobe Photoshop LightroomAdobe has released Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 software for Windows and Macintosh, the essential digital photography solution that allows photographers to quickly organize, enhance and showcase their images from one application. First released as a public beta in October 2009 , the final version of Lightroom 3 introduces a completely redesigned performance architecture that better handles growing image libraries and provides an unrivaled raw processing engine with noise reduction and sharpening tools to achieve the highest image quality. The 64-bit capable Lightroom 3 includes new features that optimize workflows and allow images to be shared in creative ways, including support for DSLR video files and tethered shooting on select cameras. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 is available now at www.adobe.com/store, and will be available soon at retail and on-line outlets for an estimated street price of $299 US or $99 US in case of an upgrade. MOTU debuts Digital Performer for Windows

MOTU Digital Performer 8 screenshot MOTU has unveiled Digital Performer version 8, a major upgrade to their flagship audio workstation software. Digital Performer 8 will be available for both Mac OS X and Windows 7 systems (32- as well as 64-bit versions), and will add many new features, including a new video playback engine, Punch Guard confidence recording, 14 new user interface themes, and 15 new included plug-ins. Among the plug-ins to be included with DP8 are two new classic guitar amp models, a bass cabinet model, several classic guitar pedals, modeled analog delay, a multi-band dynamic equalizer, a de-esser, the Subkick kick drum enhancer, and Springamabob, a modeled vintage spring reverb processor.
