Autodesk declassified 3ds Max 2009

Autodesk announced two new incarnations of its
3ds Max modeling, animation and rendering software: 3ds Max 2009, and 3ds Max Design 2009, a special version tailored for architects, designers and visualization specialists. Both will offer new rendering capabilities, like the new Reveal rendering toolset, and the ProMaterials material library which will help simulating real-world surfaces; biped enhancements and streamlined UV editing tools; better OBJ and Autodesk FBX file formats import and export for greater interoperability with Autodesk Mudbox, Maya, and MotionBuilder; as well as Recognize, a new scene-loading technology improving the inter-application workflow with Revit Architecture 2009.
3ds Max Design 2009 further provides lighting simulation and analysis technology Exposure (see
screenshot) to assist with LEED 8.1 certification, but lacks the software development toolkit. For more information, read the following PDF documents:
