Autodesk Gameware technology licensed to Nintendo

Autodesk Kynapse 6 Middleware Game DevelopmentAutodesk has entered into a landmark license agreement allowing Nintendo Co., Ltd. to provide Autodesk Gameware technology to its licensed developers creating video games for the upcoming Wii U platform and helping differentiate Nintendo's new hardware, expected to hit store shelves later this year. Under terms of the agreement, Autodesk, Inc. has granted Nintendo the right to provide licensed Wii U game developers with three Gameware products: Autodesk Scaleform middleware for user interface development, Autodesk Kynapse middleware for artificial intelligence and Autodesk HumanIK middleware for interactive character animation. Adobe previews new Premiere and After Effects CC at IBC 2014

Adobe Premiere Pro CC new features videoAdobe announced plans to significantly update Adobe Creative Cloud video desktop apps and Adobe Anywhere for video. These new capabilities, coming soon, will include powerful new media and project management tools in Premiere Pro CC including Consolidate & Transcode; Search Bins; Multiproject workflows, and Extended Match Source with added support for the QuickTime and DNxHD formats; a refreshed user-interface across all Adobe video desktop apps; AJA RAW support; accelerated Masking & Tracking; new GPU-optimized playback that delivers better performance when viewing extremely high resolution 4K and UltraHD footage from Phantom Cine, Canon RAW and RED R3D files; and more streamlined production workflows empowering video professionals to edit more efficiently. Important new updates will also be added to Adobe Anywhere, which enables large virtual teams of talent to collaborate and efficiently shoot, log, edit, share and finish video productions together. Adobe also announced new capabilities to Primetime, its advanced TV delivery and monetization platform for programmers and pay-TV service providers. Adobe is previewing these major updates at IBC 2014, Europe's largest professional broadcast show held in Amsterdam, at the RAI Convention Hall 7, Stand 7.G27, September 12-16.
