E-on Software Vue 8 Infinite screenshot E-on software pre-released Vue 8.5 xStream and Infinite, its professional solutions for the creation, animation and rendering of natural 3D environments. While Vue Infinite is a standalone application, Vue xStream operates seamlessly inside 3ds Max, Maya, Softimage, LightWave 3D and CINEMA 4D applications. Version 8.5 adds a number of new features, incl. global gamma control; more control over cloud shape and animation including the ability to control the animated density of cloud layers on a planetary scale; new terrain sculpting tools; improved OpenGL engine and viewport display; and more... Vue 8.5 updates are available free of charge for all users under maintenance, and can be downloaded immediately. MOTU debuts Digital Performer for Windows

MOTU Digital Performer 8 screenshot MOTU has unveiled Digital Performer version 8, a major upgrade to their flagship audio workstation software. Digital Performer 8 will be available for both Mac OS X and Windows 7 systems (32- as well as 64-bit versions), and will add many new features, including a new video playback engine, Punch Guard confidence recording, 14 new user interface themes, and 15 new included plug-ins. Among the plug-ins to be included with DP8 are two new classic guitar amp models, a bass cabinet model, several classic guitar pedals, modeled analog delay, a multi-band dynamic equalizer, a de-esser, the Subkick kick drum enhancer, and Springamabob, a modeled vintage spring reverb processor.
