HitFilm combines editing, visual effects and compositing

FXhome HitFilm Ultimate video compositing After Effects particles screenshot FXhome released HitFilm, a new video product that ties 3D compositing, visual effects and video editing together in one application. Available in two versions, HitFilm Standard and HitFilm Ultimate, the software includes 3D cameras with depth of field and motion blur simulation, multiple keying filters for high quality green screen removal and extensive masking capabilities. Color filters provide essential color correction and stylish color grading tools. Realistic effects include explosions, gunfire, light flares, shockwaves, sparks and debris. HitFilm Ultimate includes a fully customizable particle simulator with sophisticated physics behavior with deflectors and forces, procedural fire and lightning and the ability to import 3D camera tracking data. HitFilm Standard ($149 US / 120 EUR, 105 GBP) and HitFilm Ultimate ($399 US / 325 EUR / 285 GBP) are available now for 32- and 64-bit Windows systems. Demos are available here. [source]

E-on software ships Vue 2015 solutions

E-on Software Vue 2014 NUKE videoE-on software announced the immediate availability of VUE xStream 2015 and VUE Infinite 2015, its newest digital nature solutions for CG professionals. Other products in the VUE 2015 product line -- Pioneer, Esprit, Studio and Complete -- will be released later in Q2 2015. The improvements in VUE 2015 are expansive: from faster rendering, better overall performance, a new non-photo-realistic renderer, a redesigned interface that users can customize to their liking, a new displacement mapping engine and more. There are also a number of features making it ideal for all production environments, including easy exchange of data with ZBrush, support for Alembic and Disney's PTex, and tighter integration with compositing pipelines. VUE xStream 2015 (for 3ds Max, Maya, Softimage, CINEMA 4D. LightWave, and mental ray) retails for $1,995 US (with one year maintenance), and upgrades start at $659 US. VUE Infinite 2015 retails for $1,495 US (includes one year maintenance), with upgrades starting at $539 US. Upgrades from VUE 7.x or newer are also available.
