OptiTrack presents large volume motion capture camera

OptiTrack Prime 41 motion capture camera photo Motion capture specialist OptiTrack steps into the high-end motion capture market with the announcement of the Prime Series - a new family of motion capture cameras tailored specifically to large volume capture. Offering capture volumes that extend up to 150' with excellent pixel-for-pixel tracking precision throughout, the 4.1 MP Prime 41 provides VFX studios, game developers, universities and labs with the tracking technology necessary for the most ambitious motion tracking and capture applications. Built for full-scale, large volume motion tracking, the Prime 41 enables capture volumes of up to 75' x 150', and features more than 80' camera-to-marker range, infrared strobes usable with other film/video/photography, 180 fps capture rate, global shutter, GigE and PoE+, simultaneous body and finger tracking, outdoor motion capture, and more. This launch marks another company milestone in a year that also saw the release of the Flex 13, the world's first megapixel mocap camera for under $1000 US. Adobe sneak peeks MAX 2013 video Adobe presented a behind-the-scenes look at cutting-edge design and interactive technologies at Adobe MAX, The Creativity Conference. MAX Sneak Peeks offer a unique opportunity to see inside Adobe's engineering labs and to preview future applications and features during their early stage of development. The opening keynote introduced a hardware project named "Mighty" (and a related short ruler project named "Napoleon") which aims to marry traditional drawing tools with the mobility and flexibility of tablet devices.
