Propellerhead Software Reason 5 and Record 1.5 targeted for late summer 2010

Propellerhead Software Reason 5 Neptune screenshot Legendary Swedish audio software developer Propellerhead Software announced it has started beta testing for Reason 5 and Record 1.5. Said to be the company's biggest overhaul to its Record - Reason application family so far, the release for all programs is targeted for late summer 2010. Among the new features are block-based pattern sequencing mode; new Neptune pitch adjuster and voice synth device; Dr. Octo Rex Loop Player; and more. Reason 5 upgrade from any version will cost 99 EUR / $129 US, Record 1.5 will be a free upgrade. Full versions are 305 EUR / $349 US for Reason 5 and 279 EUR / $299 US for Record 1.5, anyone who purchases Reason, Record, the Duo or Record for Reason Owners from now on will get an upgrade to the new versions free of charge. Microsoft Kinect SDK Windows betaVersion 1.0 of Microsoft's Kinect for Windows SDK and runtime were made available for download, and distribution partners in twelve launch countries are starting to ship Kinect for Windows hardware, enabling companies to start deploying their solutions. The suggested retail price is $249 US, and later this year, Microsoft plans to offer special academic pricing of $149 US for Qualified Educational Users.
