RenderPal V2 2.2.0 released
06.03.2009

German developer Shoran Software updated their professional render management system
RenderPal to v2.2.0. It supports more than 25
renderers and compositing applications - including Maya, mental ray, Autodesk Softimage, 3ds Max, LightWave 3D, CINEMA 4D, Shake, After Effects, RealFlow and many more - and now comes with
many internal changes and improvements. The most important change in this version is the ability to assign a client to multiple pools at a time. Another change is the new database support of RenderPal V2. From now on, all data is stored in a database (currently SQLite), which can also be queried by external applications. Last but not least, it is now possible to specify different chunk dispatching orders for each net job, as well as assign different priorities to individual chunks. See the
Release Notes PDF document for more information on new features. RenderPal costs 45 EUR per node (40 EUR if you buy more than 26 nodes) or 1699 EUR for a site license (
Price List.) If you are a small startup company or a private user, Shoran Software offers 3 nodes license for free (
more).
