Studer Vista 9 console angle photo Drawing on more than 60 years of experience in the design of rock-solid, industry-proven broadcast equipment, Swiss manufacturer Studer released version 9 of its acclaimed digital audio console Vista. Following on from the Vista 5, 6, 7 and 8 desks, the Vista 9 takes the operator experience to a higher level, supplementing the Vistonics interface with radical and innovative 'wide screen' based TFT metering, FaderGlow and numerous other innovations, such as a unique History mode that records events such as overloads in the audio path of each channel, and highlights them in red on the channel waveform; the absolute freedom to place input, as well as master channels, anywhere across the surface; and more. MOTU debuts Digital Performer for Windows

MOTU Digital Performer 8 screenshot MOTU has unveiled Digital Performer version 8, a major upgrade to their flagship audio workstation software. Digital Performer 8 will be available for both Mac OS X and Windows 7 systems (32- as well as 64-bit versions), and will add many new features, including a new video playback engine, Punch Guard confidence recording, 14 new user interface themes, and 15 new included plug-ins. Among the plug-ins to be included with DP8 are two new classic guitar amp models, a bass cabinet model, several classic guitar pedals, modeled analog delay, a multi-band dynamic equalizer, a de-esser, the Subkick kick drum enhancer, and Springamabob, a modeled vintage spring reverb processor.
