thinkingParticles 5 for 3ds Max with a vehicle dynamics system
29.06.2012
cebas Visual Technology Inc. released version 5 of its 3ds Max particle plug-in thinkingParticles. By integrating industry standard physics solvers, such as the Bullet Physics alongside its own proprietary systems, thinkingParticles 5 becomes the first tool to deliver three physics solvers in one product. This gives users the choice and flexibility to work with any or all of the three individual physics solvers at the same time and in the same scene. Release 5 also introduces a dedicated true soft body rope and vehicle dynamics system that is purely procedural (for special effects like tearing ropes or cables, cars driving in a city or forensic crash simulations), interoperability with Realflow and Krakatoa via ImportFile Node, non-linear animation features, code optimizations for faster simulations and more. The product is compatible with 3ds Max 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2010, and is shipping. Price for a single license is 1.495 EUR, upgrades from R4 are 595 EUR. Users who purchased thinkingParticles 4 after April 27th, 2012 qualify for a free upgrade. [source]
