Trapcode Mir and Trapcode Suite 12 released

Red Giant Mir video Red Giant Software announced two new offerings: a new Trapcode Mir plug-in for After Effects and an updated Trapcode Suite 12 bundle. Mir is Trapcode's next generation motion graphics tool that creates quick-rendering 3D shapes built on the power of OpenGL, previewing your effect instantly so you can keep on designing. You'll play with a simple polygon mesh that is packed with 3D features, like fractal noise for distortion, texture mapping, repeating geometry, and After Effects light integration. Mir generates smoothly shaded objects or flowing organic elements, abstract landscapes and nebula structures - all animated with light and depth. Out now at an MSRP of $99 US. Trapcode Suite 12 includes several new effects and updates, namely Trapcode Mir, 105 Particular/Shine Guru Presets from MoGraph artist David Vinson, and maintenance updates for Lux, Echospace, Particular, and Form. Terragen 2 interfacePlanetside Software introduced the next generation of Terragen, its software solution for rendering and animating realistic natural environments. Developed with direct feedback from visual effects vendors using Terragen in major film and TV projects, Terragen 3 Professional includes many new features and performance enhancements to meet the needs of deadline-driven projects. A Linux render node will also be available with Terragen 3 Professional, making integration with existing Linux render farms possible for the first time. New Terragen contains enhanced 3D preview, new ultra-fast, high-detail Global Illumination mode, significantly improved population control including per-instance editing and color variation, support for FBX and other industry-standard data interchange formats, significant performance enhancements for localized cloud rendering, enhanced DEM format and georeferencing support, new spherical camera, depth of field blur, and more.
