Turtle 4.1 now in production

Turtle Maya renderer exampleBeta testing period for Turtle 4.1 (as announced in mid-September) is over and its developer, llluminate Labs, announced that version 4.1 is now in full production. New version of this rendering and texture baking tool for Maya features the new GI user interface (see the new Advanced Lighing tutorial), the Radiance Cache (speeding up Radiosity Normal Map calculations) and Path Tracing in the global illumination toolbox, making it easier to setup multi bounce global illumination renders. See the What's new in Turtle 4.1 PDF document for more information. Turtle 4.1 supports Maya 8, 8.5 and the new Maya 2008 on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X systems, and costs US $1,499 USD/machine. The beta is limited by 100 agents and automatically imports skeleton, geometry, skin weighting data as well as textures.
