UAD platform: 30,000 users worldwide!

Universal Audio UAD2 SOLO LAPTOPUniversal Audio, manufacturer of hardware and software for the music industry, announced that its UAD Powered Plug-Ins platform has surpassed 30,000 users worldwide. This makes UAD the second-largest audio plug-in processing platform in the world (second only to Digidesign's TDM). Universal Audio is also expanding its award-winning UAD platform to laptop users with the release of the UAD-2 SOLO/Laptop, a compact ExpressCard-based DSP Accelerator, now shipping worldwide at an MSRP of $499 US. Arturia Roland Jupiter-8V 2.0 screenshot Virtual instrument specialist Arturia updated its Jupiter-8V plug-in, a recreation of the Roland Jupiter 8 (see vintagesynth.com for more information) analog synthesizer, adding a new navigation system called SoundMap; ability to use NRPN MIDI messages for automation; presets responding to modulation wheel; overall volume increase; new e-licenser copy protection; and more.
