Universal Audio releases Manley Massive Passive EQ plug-in simulation
17.03.2010
American audio software and hardware legend, Universal Audio, released three new Powered Plug-ins for its UAD platform. UAD Software Version 5.6.0 (download) includes the new Manley Massive Passive EQ and Precision Enhancer Hz plug-ins for UAD-2, enhancements for the now officially-sanctioned EMT 140 Classic Plate Reverberator plug-in (formerly Plate 140), and significant performance improvements for Windows users (more). Universal Audio's Massive Passive EQ plug-in ($299 US) features both the standard and mastering versions of this world-renowned EQ from Manley Labs in one package (see the original hardware Web site). The two-channel, four-band Manley Massive Passive EQ lends itself to both radical tonal shaping as well as delicate vocal shading or subtle mastering enhancement. Watch the video Trailer for more information. The Precision Enhancer Hz plug-in ($199 US) allows the user to selectively add upper harmonics to bass fundamentals, sometimes referred to as "phantom bass". This significantly enhances the perception of low-end energy beyond the conventional frequency response of small speakers. [source]
