Included in the update is a new set of pitch shift algorithms, supporting both practical shifting and shifting for special effects. The new VSO Pitch algorithm can be used to help bring a choir up to pitch or to correct the pitch shift created by common video conversions, all while maintaining a solid stereo image. It offers enhanced control through the ability to raise or lower the pitch of a voiceover or dialog track. New Multivoice Pitch algorithms combine multiple shifters with Lexicon’s powerful delay architecture to create climbing pitch ladders, shifted echoes, voice doublers, along with many other effects. Additionally, the update provides plug-in compatibility for Steinberg Cubase and Nuendo. Download the installer here.

Loader works alongside Final Cut Pro (launching and quitting automatically) and appears as a small tab on the left side of the screen. When tracks from iTunes or files/folders from the Finder are dragged onto the tab, it slides out to reveal a list of projects currently open in Final Cut Pro. After dropping the items onto the desired project, Loader copies them in the background to the assigned media folder linked to that project. In addition, those audio file formats that don't play nicely in Final Cut Pro (.caf, .m4a and mp3) are automatically converted to a 16-bit 48kHz AIFF file before import. Loader works with Final Cut Pro 6.0.2 (or later) and costs $49 US. A fully functional 14-day trial version can be downloaded from the Digital Heaven website.
