The instrument's easy-to-use interface was designed for maximum flexibility and immediate results not achievable with conventional string libraries. New plug-ins from Waves Audio
Waves released several new audio plug-ins: Waves Signature Series Butch Vig Vocals, Waves dbx 160, and Waves H-Reverb. Waves also presented a new live multitrack recording software solution Waves Tracks Live. Faithfully recreating the influential rock producer's signature distorted vocals, the Waves Signature Series Butch Vig Vocals plug-in gives users the opportunity to work with the sound of rock royalty. It delivers straightforward vocal processing with pleasant distortion and lots of air frequencies, adding an uncompromising quality to any vocal track. The Waves dbx 160 compressor plug-in has been created in cooperation with HARMAN Professional. Considered one of the best drum compressors ever, the fast-acting dbx 160 stands tall among its peers, boasting a very clean sound with minimum THD. The original dbx 160 compressor was used in almost every major recording in the late 1970s and throughout the 80s, and later models in the 160 series also became an industry standard. The plug-in utilizes advanced modeling technologies that result in authentic-sounding emulation in both Native and SoundGrid versions. It also features an M/S matrix, mix and noise controls, and a stereo component (the original hardware was mono only). Now shipping, the Waves H-Reverb plug-in is based on innovative algorithmic FIR (Finite Impulse Response) reverberation technology. H-Reverb provides richer, deeper reverb tails that sit beautifully in the mix while breathing crisp air into your tracks. By fusing classic reverb sounds with forward-thinking features that break new ground in digital reverb processing, H-Reverb provides uncompromising sound quality and creative control. [source]
