13.05.2013 Adobe presented a behind-the-scenes look at cutting-edge design and interactive technologies at Adobe MAX, The Creativity Conference. MAX Sneak Peeks offer a unique opportunity to see inside Adobe's engineering labs and to preview future applications and features during their early stage of development. The opening keynote introduced a hardware project named "Mighty" (and a related short ruler project named "Napoleon") which aims to marry traditional drawing tools with the mobility and flexibility of tablet devices. Other sneak peeks discussed Edge Code, adjusting lighting in After Effects and Photoshop, Perspective Warp in Photoshop, and more. [source]

Adobe After Effects CC with CINEMA 4D integration

08.05.2013 Adobe has officially introduced the new version of its flagship video compositing software After Effects, now named After Effects CC and available exclusively to Adobe Creative Cloud subscribers. The CC version of After Effects features the much discussed live 3D pipeline integration with CINEMA 4D; the Refine Edge tool for natural-looking composites without keying specially shot footage; new Warp Stabilizer VFX, a major upgrade to the popular Warp Stabilizer; new 3D Camera Tracker; Pixel Motion Blur tool; new Bicubic resampling option for layer scaling; streamlined user interface; and an accelerated core with improved support for NVIDIA GPUs, and 64-bit operating systems; plus the newly unveiled Sync Settings feature. The Sync Settings functionality gives users the ability to upload settings files from local computer to Creative Cloud and then download settings from Creative Cloud to any other computer from within After Effects. The CC edition of After Effects, which is version 12.0 of the application, will be available on June 17th. All new features are part of Creative Cloud that each member gets as part of their subscription. Available in June and packed with new features, Creative Cloud reimagines the creative process through a set of "CC" desktop applications and sophisticated cross-device collaboration and publishing capabilities. 07.05.2013 At Adobe MAX, The Creativity Conference, Adobe announced Adobe Photoshop CC as part of a major update to Adobe Creative Cloud. Adobe's desktop apps, including Photoshop, were previously known as Creative Suite (CS), and will now be branded CC to reflect that they are an integral part of Creative Cloud. Photoshop CC will be available exclusively to Creative Cloud members, in June. This update combines Photoshop standard and Photoshop Extended features to deliver greater accessibility to 3D tools and image analysis, while Creative Cloud integration offers flexible collaboration and sharing capabilities. Photoshop CC brings a wide range of new features and enhancements, including advanced deblurring and sharpening technologies (Camera Shake Reduction, Smart Sharpen), new photo-editing capabilities (Adobe Camera Raw 8), improvements to rounded rectangles, and more. Available as a free download, the new BCC Effects Library Browser plug-in allows editors and motion graphics artists to instantly preview thousands of BCC presets via animations that integrate timeline video. The free plug-in can be used on any system with a BCC-compatible host application - even if BCC is not installed.
