NEC Display Solutions of America announces the new MultiSync PA Series, successor to the critically acclaimed MultiSync 90 Series, by introducing the MultiSync PA241W. Designed for professional graphics applications, this 24-inch desktop display is ideal for digital photography, video editing, print production and any environment in which color accuracy is crucial. The display features 1920 x 1200 native resolution in 16:10 aspect ratio; 102% coverage of NTSC and 99.3% of Adobe RGB; 10-bit DisplayPort and USB hub; 10-bit IPS LCD panel with 14-bit LUT; 360 cd/m² brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio; and more. Seven Phases released an updated version of its VST plug-in Spectrum Analyzer. The plug-in performs real-time spectrum analysis, is distributed free of charge, and runs on Windows systems (more). The update 1.04 fixes issues with Windows 7 and Vista, user presets, GUI problems etc. Download it here. [source]

Max Mikhailov aka Seven Phases released an updated version of his real-time spectrum analysis VST plug-in Spectrum Analyzer. The plug-in is distributed free of charge, runs on Windows XP (or later) systems and features a freely detachable spectrum window, 1/3, 1/4 or 1/6 octave mode, simultaneous peak, peak-hold and average (RMS) display, customizable color scheme, and more. LaCie announced a new 24"
LaCie 324 LCD Monitor targeting the needs of creative professionals. It is equipped with an S-PVA panel with 92 percent of NTSC gamut, 10-bit gamma correction, 16:10 wide-screen format, maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200, luminance 400 cd/m², contrast ratio 1000:1, and G-G average response time of 6 ms. The display accepts four simultaneously connected computer or video sources through its VGA, DVI and two HDMI ports, and supports HDCP for Blu-Ray and HD DVD compatibility. Two of these sources can be simultaneously viewed in Picture-in-Picture mode. The LaCie 324 will be available end of January starting at $1050 US.
